How do we set up a big clan battle? (not just a squad one)

Also, perhaps we should use the calendar to indicate when ppl are likely to be online to make it easier to find clan members (ie so we know in advance that member X intends to play BF3 on Sat morning from 7-10am). What do you think?

We already have thread set up for/about internal clan battles. So please before posting a topic could you use the search function on the top left of the forum page Smile thanks

in answer to your calendar idea its all good in theory but i would say that there aren't alot of use that come online at the same time every day. Best thing i would suggest is just adding members from the rosters and you'll get to know what guys and girls will be playing around your times. Wink

Feel free to message -everyone- asking their game times, we won't be annoyed XD It would be convenient to maybe have a small spot on the forum's stats (under a player's name on the left) which a player can enter their -own- time and the system arranges it so it displays it in -your- timezone. Probably not as difficult as it sounds!

I'm sure there'll be a widget for that. I'll have to have a look and see what I can find.

YEah it's all on the back end in teh Admin panel. Not sure about underneath everyone's name, but I should be able to get world clocks put in somewhere. I'm pretty sure I've seen something like it somewhere.

Would the clocks be able to display gaming times? =P Or just the current time in multiple timezones? Still good of course!

I don't know, until I get my internet back (hopefully tonight) I can't play around with it an see. I might be able to see up a countdown clock maybe. That could help with times, knowing that a game session is 18 hours away works no matter where you are.

I'll see what I can do.

I can add countdown clocks - they need to be set at a certain time, so when we know a time slot I can add one to teh portal page or a forum as and when needed.

I'll keep looking to see if I can find something better and easier though

Count-down clocks are great on so many levels! They'll make people aware of impending events, help to organise and of course solve the issue of time-zone confusion! Although, we usually discuss times before setting them in stone so I'm not sure the issue may be completely fixed.

exactly. They are great when everything is concrete, but if things need changing the clock I found requires a wole new one to be put in to change it, not really that efficient.

That certainly sounds less appealing. Why can the time not be edited easily? Seems like a stupendously obvious flaw XD

Well as a test, you could put a clock in for Bad Company 2 Game Night at 7:30pm Aust East Stand Time. We always go on then so it shouldn't need changing....

Wouldn't want to tamper stuff if he's not sure but it would be a good idea to at the least try it out! XD
