Taht was the first game I brought for my PS3. I loved it, but didn't like how repetitive it was. Now though, AC is a great open world game that has so many different things to do.

I really need to get Brotherhood back of one of my mates and finish it, before I try out Revelations - more so I know what the heck has happened prior to the game starting.

I also hear the next AC game is going to be about Desmond more than his ancestors.

Gave this a run the other night. Mechanics havent changed since AC Brotherhood but the story is pretty awesome. I'd recommend playing all whole series though otherwise you cant fully appreciate the story.

Multiplayer mode is also a nice chnage to FPS's.

yeah to understand the story you really need to play through them all. For AC 1 - I gave up doing most of the side quests and did just enough to get the info I needed to do the assassination.

It's pretty cool for a launch title though.

It is Jono, but it is still considered to be part of Assassin's Creed 2. Ubisoft have taken a slightly different approach with this franchise in how they have numbered the games. Think of both AC2, brotherhood and revelations as a traditional story arc. AC is the prologue, AC2 set the scene, Brotherhood is the middle part of the story, and Revelations as the climax, and the last one due next year as the epilogue.

Assassin's Creed 3 will have a new set of characters, should be in a new time period and have a whole new story.

Well, that's how I'm reading it based on what I've played and from reading between the lines of what the devs have been saying.
