Hello fellow TLCG members, I'm known as Tezza and on PSN that's Kand995. My gaming experience doesn't date back far enough to brag about, as the playstation 2 was my first console. I remember playing one of my first FPS game of Killzone and to me that grotesque distorted world, ridden with red/orange eyed Helghast, symbolising a fascism regime took me abroad the gaming world. If anyone of you remember, the sniper system where your scope moves around the screen, I thought was simply the best and yes.. I'm probably that 10% who actually liked it. Half a decade later, with the Iraq/Afghanistan war in full effect, numerous natural disasters, substantial amount of debt accumulating in developed economies, Call of Duty 4 was born and the encounter with multiplayer I've had hit me and the gaming society around me pretty deep. I believe that my skills (if i even have any) were derived from sophistication of COD and later standardised in future FPS like Battlefield 3. That's not to separate Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 1943, Battlefield BC 1&2 because all have contributed to my experience of FPS. I especially love the modding community of Battlefield 1942 and 2, and even today it's mod of SilentHeroes 2 and Desert Combat, in my opinion, can still take on some of those indie gaming companies. I'm no COD or BF fanboy since that seems to generate a lot of heated debate. I'm the sort of person who tell others to get both! In the perspective of my gameplay style in BF3, I tend to distant my self from the action in big maps (Caspian Borders) and settle in a nice nest hole surrounded with SOFLAM and radio beacon with my SV98 tripod positioned on the dirt. In close quarter maps (Seine Crossing) I typically rush through flanks armed with the Engineer class. I'm the type of person who values K/D ratio over anything else because I come from a CODING aspect. Do you reckon anything above 2 k/d r is good? Anyways outside gaming I'm a fanatic maestro with Economic studies and in my free time I tend to specialise in video editing of gaming montages or just playing soccer on the weekends with my club. Hopefully Casamyr would set up a TLCD youtube channel sometimes in the future. Anyhow that's enough about me, I hope I can meet new friends and be of a great team service to the community of The League of Casual Gamers.

Well i am very delighted to meet you. You seem like a well spoken gentleman Smile On the k/d front i have no idea about it because im primarily a Battlefield player (BFBC2) and my win loss ratio is more important to me. Yes a TLCG youtube change would be cool and i think it has been mentioned before. But none of us poses a PVR or any such video capture device and the perspective would only be from one persons view. Obviously with COD you can capture video in game right? and get a birds eye view of the game but battlefield doesnt but im sure something could be arranged no doubt. Anyways great to have you on board with us and im more than certain you'll fit in with us here Very Happy

I would value the Win/Loss ratio more if I didn't have to play with inexperienced teams to say the least. Battlefield, which you can't win based on a solo performance unlike in COD where the whole team's performance can be independently based on a single player, represents why K/D is more important to me. Hopefully, this clan will show me otherwise because I solely signed up so I could win as a team, rather than be a lonewolf. Yeah... I know Sad I wish Battlefield has some kind theatre mode because to expose this clan to the online public, video is the best way to go. Thank you and I've sent you a friend request on here and on PSN. Have a happy new year eve Smile

We all try are best to work as a team and play objectively. I agree that been a lone wolf doesn't really work but if the opposite team is that bad then something you can make a difference on your own Razz

What was the reason why you didn't like battlefield 3? I found the helicopter controls abysmally painfully different to BC2.

I cant fly the choppers in BFBC2 either so i just haven't tried with BF3. Its just the recoil on the gun more than anything else just unmanagable for me and the maps are too large for 24 player by the time you've run half way over the map your dead and it all starts again plus everything just blends into one colour and its hard to distinguish enemy soldiers to friendly soldiers.

Well there is the option of single-fire but I guess the recoil is a bit over the norm. Personally I love the size of the maps and I seriously thought the maps would be smaller considering it was built for PC. And I thought the colours were extremely vivid and bright. The lighting effects i didn't like because gosh it was lustrous. But please you gotta try it once you get bored of BC2, the recent update solves most of the problems and you can leave squads now so instead of running the whole map, just spawn at someone else's location.
