Couldn't party tonight??

Hey guys, for some reason it wouldn't let me join any parties tonight!? I clicked join in the invite but it wouldn't go through... Did anyone else have this problem? Anyone that invited me, sorry! I wasn't rejecting you!

Yeah that happen to me to, I couldn't party up with Moose. It happens to me every now and then, I cant even party up with a mate who just lives 200m away, so im not sure its a nat problem :/

It could be the NAT type... It's set to type 2 but still says strict in the game for some reason. Anyone know how to get it open? I've changed the ip settings on the console, but I read somewhere about opening ports on the router??

Ok, it took all day googling and reprogramming the modem but now it's sorted. Apparently Thomson gateway routers provided by bigpond dont like opening the ports for gaming consoles... NAT is now open!

Hey mate, how'd you do it? My have the same problem and can't party up or join games every now and again and its really starting to piss me off haha im in the same situation you had (NAT type 2, strict and thomson router)

Ok with the NAT type...



this is a guide to obtain OPEN NAT in PS3 COD MW3 with Thomson TG782T Modem

Windows 7 has Telnet Client closed as default! it can be quickly re-enabled by following these steps:

Start
Control Panel
Programs/Programs And Features
Turn Windows features on or off
Check , "Telnet Client"
Hit OK

After that you can start Telnet

Step 1- On your PC - click on start
- In the window "search for programs and files" type "run"
- In the "run" window type " cmd " this is the command window.
- Copy and paste this command. telnet 10.0.0.138 (press enter)

This will open a telnet session with your modem, you will then be asked for a Username and Password.

Username: admin (press enter)
Password: your modems password (usually blank by default) (press enter)

Step 2- copy and paste these 4 command lines one at a time pressing enter after each one is done.

:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3074-3075

:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3478-3479

:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3658

:saveall

then close the telnet session

Step 3- Reboot your modem (just power off and back on) not always needed but is helpful to do after changes made.

Step 4- Open Call Of Duty modern Warfare 3 on PS3, go to multiplayer and enjoy your OPEN NAT gaming from now on

Note- you can close "telnet client" once you have completed the previous steps.

Yeah that was not meant to happen! Gone now thankfully haha anyway thanks a lot, I've done a lot of half arsed searching but nothing seemed to really work, i'll try this out later hopefully it works but thanks mate.

Na mate. I only get as far as ''Username: admin (press enter)
Password: your modems password (usually blank by default) (press enter)'' and it says invalid username/password but i never recall changing it :/

Try your serial number as the password

I might have tried that, at the moment ive tried: Admin admin, Admin blank, Judd (name of my network) followed by my password, thomsonTG58v7 followed by WEP code and i really cant think of anything else...
