Current Forum Layout

I'm been thinking on this a bit lately and wanted some feedback.

Currently the most of the forum is restricted to you if you aren't logged in or registered so you only see a few forums - Most of the Clan Information stuff and gaming news. I was thinking about changing this to a different format.

I was thinking that the Clan Information Forums, Gaming Forums and gaming news are all visible to guests on the site, but they cannot post until registered. Once registerd they also get access to the Off topic forum as well.

Secondly, are people happy with the Portal page - ie the front page. Is it obvious on how to get to the forums - do I need to add a forum button somewhere there? Is it better just to come straight to the forum page and not worry about the portal at all? Should I remove the portal and add it back up later once we have grown our clan base somewhat?

What are your thoughts on this?

yeah i think letting people see the whole thing would be a good idea, then people could see that we are active.
And the portal i don't mind it, for me i don't really look at them just go straight to the forums to i wouldn't mind if you removed it or kept it, and yeah it wouldn't hurt if you added a button that let people straight jump on to the forum.
Also a idea if we made a Category for Clan Battles

Challenge [TLCG] - inside would be a challenge template they would have to fill out and copy in the right game they want to challenge in.

Battle Results - telling the rest of the clan how it went.

Modern Warfare 3 - for clans who want to challenge in this clan would paste their template in here.

BattleField 3- for the clans who want to challenge us in this, copy and paste their template.

And so on for the rest of the games.

Yeah, that's the reason I was thinking - just to show that we are an active clan, just with a few members that we are trying to grow to be a bigger/better clan.

I'll look at adding a Clan Battle Section as well.
