What Game?

No ive not played any of the Saints Row series. To me it looks like a rip off of the GTA series but alot more wacky especially the 3rd game anyways. What are the first two games like?

Although its very simalar to GTA , there are still enough differences to make it a unique game. Kinda like BF3 vs MW3, same genre, different gameplay.

The first 2 SR games were ok but the 3rd is much better. Lots of customisation and loads for fun to play. If you like the GTA series then you'll like SR the 3rd.

yeah i'am just going to wait for GTA5 since ive heard that SR3 has not much differnce from SR2 and i always find the GTA is better than SR

I play MW3, thinking about getting Saints Row: The Third,
But heard so much about GTAV, but, when does it actually come out?

I think GTAV is late next year. I'm looking forward to heading back to San Andreas.

Broken Sword Series

Amy is out on the Psn now, for $16. the new GTA isn't released till 2013 unsure the month, jbhifi are taking preorders,
a good fps horror game would be the fear series, the 1st had me shutting myself, the others got pretty far fetched in the end but still freaky, the new resident evil both 6 and racoon city look sweet, I've always been a fan of that series.
then you have ff 13-2out in Feb if you like rpgs, I'm a massive fan of the series but 13 was horrible so the sequal does t look any better, but their online mmorpg is due out for ps3 sometime this year which got some ol reviews on pc.
then there's diablo 3 for pc which is going to be of the chain annd really looking forward to playing that.

so there's plenty out there this year that's going to keep me entertained, hope you guys feel the same

Unfortunately it's difficult to sift through all the shit and commercialism to find a good game. Resident Evil Racoon City looks to be good but is definitely based on one's interest in the franchise. Anyone who has a PC -must- try Half-life and Half-life 2. Before my computer broke I religiously played those games, specifically a mod called "Garrysmod" which more or less became a standalone game, which retains endless possibilities.

To be completely honest, if you're a committed gamer and have the money, don't bother with consoles and switch to PC. On average each game is £10 less, and Steam is particularly good at sales. At one point they sold every Half-Life game ever to be produced for £15. That's a lot of games.

For the rest of us...consoles =3

By all accounts don't get Amy. Reviews are terrible for it. Metacritic is currently rating it 22/100, with all critic reviews being negative reviews.

The one I read, say that you have not idea waht you were doing, you need to be the exact right place, down to teh pixel to pick stuff up, mediocre graphics, poor game design, and loads of player death and masses of trial and error until you get something right, with nothing to tell you what is the right way to solve the issue.

That's disappointing about Amy because that trailer looked promising, but when the game is only $15 via the Psn store I guess we can't expect much from it.
I just Downloaded the demo for the new final fantasy, so ill post a small review of it once I am done with the demo not holding my breath tho.

From the reviews ive seen of Amy it has been ripped to shreds. Apparently not a good game at all. The whole concept is good but the tense and gameplay just isnt there. I suppose though you need to play the game yourself to make an informed decision about the game

me being a third person gamer there are a couple games coming out that interest me. resident evil: operation raccoon city is coming out in march and it is a 4 player co op game. you guys should check it out if interested. silent hill hd collection and silent hill downpour are coming out in march as well. i am a huge horror fan and will be picking them up. i am alive is coming out for the psn in the next few months and supposed to be a good game. i am most likely gonna get amy too despite the bad reviews. i have all the assassins creeds for the 360 and love em all except part one which i got rid of. dark sector is an older game but its pretty good imo. I hope to see a division specifically for Resident Evil: RC if we can garner enough support. I'm definitely looking toward buying the game though I have a tendency to leave it a couple of months 'till the prices drop. The fact it's 4-Player co-op is a real attraction, though I only found out now that they have already implemented 4-player co-op into one of the mercenaries games!

You'd probably like the Red Faction series if you haven't already played them, they both have nice sandbox engines, and Armageddon is a fast paced survival shooter.

Just out of curiosity, which did you prefer? I found the linear gameplay slightly uncomfortable given the play-style they were going for with that RF duo.

I like both of them for different reasons, the first one catered to my explosive complex, being able to use satchel charges and sledgehammers to bring buildings down was fun along with the variety of missions, the second one is a third person shooter at heart while the first on is open world first, third person shooter second. The more "on-rails" feeling of the second one was very different coming from playing the first one but I feel that it balanced out all the gun play, which is a much more dominant part of the Armageddon.

I think I was just spoilt after Guerilla, did enjoy some of the functions of Armageddon though! The "Ruin" feature was okay, but I liked the integration of singleplayer abilities and the infestation mode combination.

So basicly the game is Mario + Portal + Loads of other awesome stuff.
