Tactical button layout helps a lot because you control all you movements with the sticks. You have to give up panic knifing to do it (I hate the knife) but I think the pros out weigh the cons.

Also, controlling the engagement helps, rather than always firing from in front which usually induces panic sprays, try flanking around to catch people off guard. Your accuracy should be better when you're not being shot at. Also if you're playing mw3, try using focus instead of kick.

But without being too repetitive, start by reducing sensitivity first.

Also, dont worry too much about K/D. Unless its tdm, I would rather play with someone who caps flags, plants bombs etc than a kill whore or camper not helping out the team win the game.

Not sure how much you have played fps shooters, but a big part of being succesful is out thinking your opponent. It's the reason why the best players are good in each new game. Good solid tactics don't change.

Lol. All good. I have friends who have been playing fps for as long as I have and they're not that good.
Im in no way great, but I can hold my own and enjoy giving whatever tips I can to help others. It's fun to watch friends play and see/hear what they are thinking
during the game, a lot of times they move around the map aimlessly hoping to run across someone and I find myself asking 'where are you going? What are you doing?' Et

I think if you're literally trying everything you can then adjusting sensitivity is a good place to start. I find it helps to compensate for slow reactions depending on where you set it and also is great for people who over-steer when aiming down the sight!

got my aiming good now just have to speed up my reactions

I've never managed to increase my reaction speed, I just make sure that I'm in the sort-of situation where I get a handful of milliseconds as a head-start xD

I don't know of any real way to increase your reaction speed, i've always been really fast naturally and have never had to worry about it.

I've heard truckies swear by a bit of speed!

Do you connect with wirless? If so, an easy fix may be to switch to a wired network. Alternatively, try to get a faster ISP if that's an option

sometimes lag can work in your favour, some games where im on 2 bars i can dominate going 30 kills 10 deaths cause of lag compensation. bf3 has got to have the least amount of lag in any game i've ever played but even it has lag compensation, one or two bullets does a lot of damage when you're lagging. But yeah stick to the edges of danger zones on the map and use a lot of cover, better to be on the outside shooting in nstead of being in the danger zone getting bitched slapped by 12 yr kids, don't try and go rushing either cause you'll never win a gun battle, i know i know it very campish but who gives a fuck! the point of the game is to kill more then die.

My tip to help increase aiming if you don't like burst firing is to use the left stick to control horizontal recoil and the right stick lightly to centre vertical recoil. Once you get used to it you can pretty much dominate like a BAWWWWSSSs

FPS tips 101 with CON5CRYPT

1) stay on the edges of the map (it limits how exposed you are)
2) burst fire when shooting med-long range (accuracy will be fcked otherwise)
3) use the mini map to predict where the enemy is likely to be coming from (ie they will usually be coming from where your team is not at)
4) dont sprint around, sprinting puts you at a disadvantage as it will take longer for you to aim down sight (ADS)
5) strafe when shooting (a moving target is always harder to hit)
6) dont chase someone if you see them running from across the map (chasing involves tunnel vision on the target and in the time, distance and path it will take for you to go after them the chances of you running into his teammates increases and you wont be ready for it)
7) never, ever, ever sprint around a corner.
when you know someone is hiding in a corner, pre-fire from the hip as you turn that corner, you will almost always get the kill
9) dont bite off more than you can chew, (shooting 3 people in the back is one thing, trying to take 3 people head on is certain death)
10) dont stay in any one area for too long, especially if you kill a few people in that spot as the chances of them coming back for a revenge kill is 99.9% of the time.

That is helpful, yes. But objectives are the 'point' of the game. You can get in 300 kills to 0 deaths but you can't kill as fast as tickets bleed when being dominated on Conquest nor does the limited tickets matter in Rush if the objectives are all blown to shreds =3

lol, it depends on the game type.

if its tdm, then yes kill more die less. i would rather have someone on my team who goes 5-5 then 25-25 in tdm. someone else can get those 25 kills but we cant take back those 25 deaths.

but in other game modes, play the objective - cap those flags, collect those dog tags, plant/defuse the fcking bomb.

was playing in a game of kill confirmed last night and out team got R@PED by the other team.

i counted them having 3 ac130s, a couple of reapers, chopper gunners etc.... our team still won because all the other team did to get the kills/streaks was sit back and camp/snipe all game whilst we, even tho dying, changed to our support/assasin class and collected the tags. i think i went 20-25 but confirmed/denied every tag i saw. the third player on my team was 3-30 (obviously we had a lot of rage quitters up to that point as well) and the final chat speak i heard was them saying 'how did we lose that?'

ergh.... its a perfect example of what annoyrs me the most about playing with randoms.

point is, if you want to kill whore, play tdm or free for all....

That said a lot of your stuff still applies XD Playing with randoms does suck a lot. Even more so on BF3 because it's supposed to be team-orientated and yet barely anyone mics up! But yes, trying to regain 25 deaths is always a bitch.

found out that i am not bad with the carbine's 16.2 % now thats a big improvment for me
