Forced Leave of Absence

Hi folks, just letting you all know that I will be away from the forums until tuesday/wednesday. I hate to go into hospital tomorrow morning to have 3 screws inserted into my foot after a scooter incident on Monday.

It's not broken, but after listening to the doctors, I think a break would have been better. I have pulled the Liz Frank ligament off the top of my foot, which apparently is a fairly serious injury. This ligament is the ligament which basically holds your foot together. I will be off work for 6 weeks to 3 months, depending on how it heals.

That's where I am at but I'll let everyone know how things are once I get back and I know more after the surgery and I ma back home.

Sorry to hear that cas,is medical care all insurance based in n_z Like in the states ? hopefully you will be getting paid sick leave buy your employer.
As long as you can hold a joypad I will expecting you on psn a lot more,whilst your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/partner/all of the above (delete as applicable) feeds you grapes with lashings of sympathy

If hes lucky...i had a similar injury afew years back and its pretty painful.

Good news folks I am back out of the hospital a couple of days earlier than expected. While I have a fairly serious injury (ie it'll be several months before I will feel comfortable walking again) I am out of hospital and finally on the road to recovery. I have the next 42 days off work and the when I come back I will only be allowed to do light duties for a several more weeks since I still won't be able to weight bear on that foot.

Still, being home is better than being in the hospital I can tell you. I got sleep last night,yay!
