Clan Activity

Given the interest that's being garnered, wouldn't it make sense to open a sub-forum specifically for role-applications I.e. officer, organiser, technical roles and such?

That way we can atleast organise the interest instead of getting people's thoughts contributions in the thread. XD

Good to see that the structure of TLCG is coming together more rapidly though!

slipperygypsy got a pvr for christmas. we could send him games in theatre mode and he could record them for us.

That should work well for CoD, but thats really not an option for us on the Battlefield, I will have a PVR myself here soon and i'll be able to pick up the slack on our end so everything should even itself out. When you get the channel up and running let me know and i'll send you some vids once I get a few. Since slippergypsy already has one it might be a cool idea to get a group photo for the CoD players in the meantime while i'm working on getting my equipment and getting set up.

Hahah its hard enough to get some of them to post in a thread let alone pose for a photo

With u there skinny, we are still struggling to get the 2X2 going, imagine getting the team photo lol.

And with the YouTube channel ill have to start playing better so I can get some vids posted

Would of been really good to get the 2x2's up on the youtube page. But if worse comes to worse we can simply post a link to one of our elite pages and the clan can watch it maybe.

We could do it if we put some effort in. I'm pretty sure I have some recording equipment that can record from TV sources to DVD-RW but I'm not sure what the quality is like! Can you only take pictures in theatre mode?

My PVR is in the mail! It should be here sometime tomorrow and I should be up and running by tomorrow night if UPS cooperates. Have you already started working on the youtube account wortho?

Me too cas, i've definitely got some cool ideas, some of the content i'm going to create is going to stay safely on the forum alone so that it is a benefit for the registered members of the clan and not just anyone who comes along. This stuff is going to be "exclusive" to the clan. The really epic stuff is going to youtube though lol.

So uh...when is there ever 'epic stuff'? =P Sounds like a good idea though, will have to look at a way to make stuff private.

Hey guys just found this thread, mainly because I only jump on the forum for a quick browse. Have been finally able to play MW3 with some tlcg members mainly the fuzz & moose, and a couple games with whitelite, wortho & toomany. Have missed the boat with these 2v2s but look forward to more action from the MW3 section.

making stuff private is pretty easy on the forums. I can set things like links or vids, or even the forum itself to be viewable only to members, so even guests can't see it.

It's a matter of making the youtube link itself inaccessible to anyone other than forum members which is more or less impossible given that they're separate sites. I've been rooting around the help sections to figure out some ideas and we've got a few! =D

Just reading through this there's about clan activity and boosting the cod side of things.
Happy to throw my hat into the rin to help out where I can.
Even tho im still new to the site/clan, my job has the perk of being dull enough that I am online a lot and browse the forums quite often.

Anyways, have a few ideas that might help keep things interesting.

So what are your ideas? I feel like he's teasing us with his interesting ideas =P

ideas? hmmm.... well firstly we would need to figure out what the goal is first, is it to get more members to the clan, get current clan members more active on the site/forums or is it just to get members playing together more?

one idea i had was about 2v2.

now i know there already is a 2v2 mw3 comp, but from what i gather yall have been struggling to get the teams on at the same time.....

an alternate to that may be to have a clan 2v2 crown.

the catch being, the 2 players who are the current champs can be challenged by any 2 other players if they are online. any challenges to a match must be accepted (maybe limit it to 3 title defences a day against the same team) so it allows for any 2 people who might be online make an attempt to knock off the champs.... ummm yeah, did that sound complicated? it makes sense in my head.

the other idea was in regards to earlier discussions about you tube. i guess whoever is hosting the channel can maybe do duel comms with members whilst showing some of that members gameplay, ie you submit a match where you went well, or went horribly bad and the gameplay can be discussed with either tips of what you did right or wrong. i know personally i have improved my gameplay by watching my own replays to see where i went right and wrong....

anyways, this post is long so il end it here..

Those ideas are currently only viable for MW3 but they're not too bad. The first foreseeable problem there is that the one reason 2V2 hasn't worked is because we're a casual clan and people can not be on all the time. So the concept of a crown would seem flawed as it would require one pair to be on consistently as opposed to just any teams getting together.

All of those goals you mentioned are applicable to TLCG so that widens the net somewhat for ideas. TLCG says "Thank you!" =P

I think the crown idea works of they are required to defend their title at least once every 2 weeks.
It also encourages members to friend eachother for a better chance to have a potential teammate online whilst also checking the forums to see who the current title team is etc.

Most of my ideas are mw3 related as this thread was originally about expanding that side of things.

yea, there reason we did the 2v2 game mode was because only 4 people wold be needed per match. im in yr 12 now so there arn't many times my partner skinny and i can play 2gether.

our goal is to make to make more people come onto the forums.

as soon as we finish the games we will move into a new layout 4 the 2v2s

The crown idea seems a lot more logical than our original idea although our original idea was great when we managed to get everybody online a couple months back
