Was just wondering what guns you've platinumed? This is what ive done

Just wondering how many kills you'll need to achieve a platinum? I looked at other forums and apparently it's 1000 D: I'm very close to achieving my first platinum for the G8 (835kills (8 gold stars)) followed by 6 gold stars for XM8 LMG and the AKS 74U and a substantial amount of 3 gold stars. I don't tend to focus on one gun but a variety and that represents why i have not achieved any platinum and never will because of BF3. Also I've only been playing for 5d 22h in the whole 2 years when it first came out in 2010.. I cannot comprehend how I've spent such a lack of time on it *GOAL Failed*

Yes it is 1000 kill for a platinum star. G8? Don't you mean the G3? Because ive never heard of the G8 in BFBC2. I currently have 7 platinums and im working a few at the moment but im struggling because there not the guns that im used to but ill learn there recoil and what not pretty quickly. 5 day huh lol. I think ive put like 330HRS into the game in about a year not sure.

Sorry I meant the G3, I was previously doing economics homework and somehow managed to write G8 here haha and yeah part of the reason is that a student's life means little to no gaming at all x( I see you're pretty dedicated, 7 platinum Too bad it doesn't pay off in the form of PS3 trophies. Well good luck on future platinum and I find that using burst not single fire greatly increases accuracy of head shots because it drags the aim vertical and then down depending on which guns though but you'll already know that.

Yeh with the G3 its only got vertical recoil which makes it a great gun. Only downside i would say about the G3 is to low rate of fire

That low rate of fire is compensated by the sheer high power and velocity of its firepower! Honestly, I reckon that the G3 is the most realistic gun in BF:BC2 because its sleek in size like all guns should be unlike the bulky M4 which filled up half the screen haha. And don't even get me started on the explosive sound effect of it x)

Oh yeh the G3 is a beast of a gun if its in the right player hands and can devastate enemy player with brute force

It used to be the Stg.77 AUG got nearly 2000 kills with it but my favourite at the moment is the XM8 COMPACT. Slap an acog scope on that baby and you can snipe for miles and the hip fire is awesone for CQC you?

Oh the Aug was great, it's quick rate of fire and sound effects was addictive haha. The Aug would have been my favourite gun in COD but on BC2 it would be Assault Class AEK-971. The gun was beast with it's firepower and range. I have this thing for sound quality on guns haha and the AEK-971 reload resonance was soothing to say the least and much better than the AK-47 in BF3. Oh quick question, the difference between the XM8 Compact and the Prototype was the added on suppressor yeah?

only time ive used the AEK in BFBC2 was when i first started playing the game but once i unlocked better assault rifles i soon moved on to the AUG, M16 and PROTOTYPE. Only different really between the COMPACT and PROTOTYPE would be obviously XM8C is smaller. Higher rate of fire. Better at close to meduim range (but can be used at long range if used properly) and better for mobility

Oh the M16 was terrible for me. High recoil, dwarf damage and terrible in long range in my opinion of course. Haha you seem to praise the XM8C against the Prototype. When I started out as a medic, the XM8 LMG was my trusty weapon and now i realise that DICE must have loved the XM8 weaponry class, having put three of em in the game

The M16 is hampered by its low rate of fire but DICE seemed to forget that i can tap that fire button quicker than full auto fire lol. Personally the M16 for me was a good gun and the recoil was quite managable too but each to there own. Yes the XM8C has all the previous qualities i said plus it has low recoil and is quicker at killing for me anyways. I think ive just platinumed the LMG XM8 good gun just a low rate of fire and horrible in CQC and the hip fire is just awful juat awful

Ah no wonder why I was a noob with the M16. I actually waited until the aim moved back to its original place then I would fire again but inevitable the opponent would have moved. Engineer class AK-74U to me with ironsight was much more recoil friendly, better damage and quicker reload compared to the XM8C. Did you use a the red dot sight for the XM8 LMG? That'll help with the CQC issue and i would never fire from the hip unless it was COD haha.

I found the recoil usually reset itself pretty quickly wit the M16. Ive used the AK-74U alittle bit for me the iron sights are abit weird and hard to use but ive never used it for a long period of time to get used to it and i dunno but the way it fires too is slightly odd. Do you know what i mean? The UMP 45 is the best SMG in my book if only it had decent iron sight and that gun would be beast. I rarely use a red dot i mainly run an AGOC or use iron sight for the close quarter combat maps

Yeah I know what you mean. I only got used to it from using it over extensively from Black Ops haha. Red dot sights are great because it maintains it's accuracy the same as an ACOG, it's fast and versatile to aim. UMP-45 is a textbook gun. Medium fire rate but powerful. I don't know why but if you remember, everyone in MW2 judged the UMP-45 to be the best SMG and not one used an Acog or red dot sight on it. They all used the iron sight because it was much more accurate and pretty to look at. However, in BC2 this was not the case x(
