BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
It has come to my attention that a few member are wanting to learn to fly choppers and jets to improve there whole Battlefield experience. So i was wondering if any of you guys would be up for some private matches to help these guy and girl out abit (me included). While these guy and guys are practicing we can always have a mess around and a laugh and a joke. Thoughts?

If you need a chopper instructor, i'm pretty handy with a AH-1Z Viper.

Re: BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
I'd definitely be up for some chopper piloting instruction. that sounds like a great idea. I'm better thanks to USarge and his tips but I still want to get even better.

I may not have the highest kill count with a chopper, but if you wanna know about evasion and maneuvering im your guy.

@Phil we're just go into an empty server, there's bound to be one. We just need a minimum of 7 to make it happen.

Re: BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
I've been flying a bit with the jets lately. I'm still not great but i have learnt a few helpful things along the way that i would be happy to pass on.
Jets can be troublesome to first time users because all you have is the machine gun and thats it. No flares, No heatseekers. But start by attacking the helicopters and tanks. slow moving easy kills. After you take down a few of those you will get flares which keep you in the air longer then you would of before. Keep this up and soon enough you will have the heatseekers and life is much easier.

This is a great idea! I'm up for it. I've been flying jets lately aswell, it's a lot of fun but it definitely takes time to get good at it.
Nothing like the feeling when you take another jet down after a 5min dogfight

I just mean that all it takes is one person from the general public to make the whole experience more difficult. I'd love to be able to learn without affecting others so I hope this idea materialises. It's a pity there's no unranked servers or anything.

Re: BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
I'm working on getting a PVR, when I do I'll be able to record some lessons that might be helpful, plus it will probably be easier to understand because you'll be able to see it from my POV.

I tried to filter for just unranked servers the other day and there wasn't a single one. Might have just been me being stupid, not sure.

I believed they only existed on PC. No source to back that up, just an impression.

Re: BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
I knew PC had them, I'm gonna do some research and I'll get back to you. It seems weird to me that unranked servers would be absent from console versions.

Re: BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
It looks like there are not unranked servers for the console versions, however i'm sure that somebody will come up with a work-around in the near future.
Sources: Battlefield Blog, Reddit, and several other places I looked.

That was quick research! Pity to say the least, unranked servers are a must to encourage non-competitive, friendly gameplay.

Re: BFBC2/B3 Flying lessons
@redslayer1: I'm assuming your talking about the helo's in BF3? What exactly are you having trouble with (locking on/staying locked on, rockets, Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground), I might be able to lend a few tips.
