Sony Developer Working Exclusively on PS4

Sony’s first-party developers are the best at squeezing every last nook and cranny of power out of the PS3. Quite possibly, they have reached the limit with the PS3, and Sony now has at least one major publisher working exclusively on the PS4, according to a new report.
A source speaking to Edge Magazine, has confirmed that PCs based on the Xbox 360′s successor hardware, are already making their way to developers, and a retail release of the Xbox 720 could be ready for 2012.
They also confirm that Sony isn’t too far behind, and has shifted “one major Sony-owned studio” away from PS3 development, and has them focusing on the PS3′s successor exclusively. This same studio is also supposedly involved in the PS4′s graphics technology development process.
Any and all of Sony’s first-party developers could be considered pros when it comes to graphics, so that information does little to hint at which developer they could be referring to..

hmmmm i wonder what it will look like. I cant see myself getting on if its coming out 2012 or anything in the near future seeing as ive only had my ps3 under a year.

yeah same, i reckon they should release it at the end of 2013 so we get at least two years more of the ps3

It won't be out for a while. Sony have always stated the PS3 will have a 10 year lifespan, since we've really only just reached the 5 year mark.

I'll predict that we'll see it in 2014 at the earliest for a release of the PS4, and it'll be less than a $1000 dollars as well. I don't think that they make the same mistake this time around. Rumours I've heard is that the PS4 is going to use a more standard structure which'll make it cheaper to create from the outset.

I hope you're right, I haven't had my PS3 for that long, and I don't really want to buy another one just yet.

I still think there will be a couple of years left in the tank of the old girl. 2012, sony'll be concentrating fully on the Vita, which I'll probably pick up. So it'll be late 2013, early 2014 before the PS4 goes on sale.

I guess we'll just have to wait until E3 to find out some hard facts.

Sony usually shows their show on Home - plus various game sites run streams as well. I might, when E3 gets closer, look around and find some sites to add here for people to get all the goss on up coming games.

I think its midyear sometime - June 5-7 2012 to be exact

Oh, one other thing that I forgot to say (so sorry about the double post) I'm also predicting that the developer working on the PS4 with either be GG with Killzone 4 or ND with Uncharted 4 as a launch title.

I heard recently that they MIGHT be working on BF4 for the PS4
